NYTimes: Don’t Fight the Robots. Tax Them.

Industrialization replaces people with machines both physically and cognitively.  It seems that this is causing an ever declining tax base of human production.  We often define productivity as output per person. Therefore, increase productivity comes from increased automation.  
I’m reminded that George Marshall famously said, "the power to tax involves the power to destroy." It seems what we have been destroying through taxation is human production and favoring capital to replace it.
